Model nomenclature
How to read the model codes of this series, with an example.
-
A
Model code (series) EA = EA - general-purpose unit cooler
-
B
Number of fans — Number of fans (one digit).
-
C
Fan diameter — Fan diameter in cm (two digits; x10 = mm), e.g. 30=Ø300, 63=Ø630, 91=Ø910. 30 = Ø300 mm35 = Ø350 mm40 = Ø400 mm45 = Ø450 mm50 = Ø500 mm63 = Ø630 mm80 = Ø800 mm91 = Ø910 mm
-
D
Dimensional data - coil size letter — First letter of Karyer's "dimensional data". With the fan count and diameter it fixes the finned coil length and the tubes per row (one casing size). It is a catalogue size index, not a measure: take dimensions from the model datasheet.
-
E
Dimensional data - tube rows — Second letter of the dimensional data = number of tube rows (coil depth): A=2, B=3, C=4, D=5, E=6, G=8, I=10, K=12 (alphabet position + 1). C = 4 tube rowsD = 5 tube rowsE = 6 tube rowsG = 8 tube rowsI = 10 tube rows
-
F
Fin spacing — Nominal fin spacing in mm (1-2 digits). Karyer catalogue: 4=4.20, 6=6.00, 7=7.00, 8=8.00, 10=10.00. The exact pitch is per model (e.g. 4 covers 3.8 to 4.6 mm). 4 = Fin spacing about 4 mm6 = Fin spacing about 6 mm7 = Fin spacing about 7 mm8 = Fin spacing about 8 mm10 = Fin spacing about 10 mm
-
G
Generation code — Karyer design generation letter; Karyer publishes no further decoding. C = Generation C

Fan data 01 = Ø300: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 4-pole; Ø350: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 4-pole; Ø400: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 4-pole; Ø450: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 4-pole; Ø630: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 6-pole; Ø800: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 6-pole04 = Ø910: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 6-pole05 = Ø300: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 4-pole06 = Ø630: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 6-pole08 = Ø630: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 4-pole09 = Ø500: 230V/1Ph/50Hz, 4-pole10 = Ø500: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 4-pole11 = Ø630: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 4-pole13 = Ø630: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 4-pole19 = Ø630: 400V/3Ph/50Hz, 4-pole

J
Option suffix (variant) — Optional, on BRI variant codes only: " ED" = electric defrost variant; no suffix = standard variant. ED = Electric defrost

Every model has a product datasheet (PDF) with its data, the standard ratings SC1–SC5 and the capacity table: open a model and choose Product datasheet.

Our engineers answer with a selection for your conditions.
The data are illustrative and may change without notice. Capacities are interpolated from the manufacturer's rating grid; points the manufacturer did not rate are shown as "not rated" and never estimated.
